The First Baptist Dallas Singles Ministry has had to revise the trip to Joplin.  At this time, the main thrust of help they need are skilled contractors.  For this reason we are pooling all of the monies donated so far and we will be sending our donation to them to help monetarily fund the rebuilding efforts.  We apologize if this has inconvenienced anyone.  Thank you all for your efforts and your hearts.

Cornerstone is in need of Volunteers this Saturday at there clothing distribution center.  We’ll  be meeting in the Criswell Lobby at 9:30 Am.   We’ll leave for cornerstone at 9:45.  We’ll be back at the church by 1pm.

For those that haven’t volunteered at Cornerstone before.  Cornerstone is a homeless ministry associated with Cornerstone baptist church in South Dallas.  Its located near MLK and 45.   Cornerstone provides Food, Clothing, and medical/dental care to the less fortunate and homeless of the South Dallas area.   In addition they also run Children’s programs during the Summer.   More information can be found at http://www.cornerstonedallas.org/volunteer.html

What: We’ll be volunteering at the Dallas Life Foundation where we will be assisting in serving the Lunch time meal.   Please dress comfortably.  Dallas Life Foundation is the largest homeless shelter in the North Dallas area.  We should be done by around 1pm.

Time: 1:00pm – 5:30pm

Where:  Meet in the Criswell Lobby

What:  The Horaios Project will be assisting a Dallas Wide Homeless outreach project Called Operation Care Dallas, last year they supported over 11,000 people.  This year they are expecting to help around 13,000 homeless and low income people.  At the link below you can find a video from last years event.  While at this event we’ll be helping local disadvantaged people by handing gifts.  This is going to be a tremendous opportunity for us to be involved helping the less fortunate of Dallas.

Where: Criswell Lobby

What:  We’ll be going out to several home bound members of First Baptist Dallas and visiting with them and singing them Christmas carols.  We’ll be showering them with song while telling them how much they mean to us.  Singing skills are not required.  Please dress warm as it may be a we bit nippy.
